Anthony Papavero Sr.: Anthony Papavero Sr. and his two sons, AJ and Jason, represent two of four generations of funeral directors. Having grown up in the family business, the Papaveros have been deeply attuned to the diverse needs and requests of every family they serve. For more than seventy-five years, they have built their reputation, establishing a lasting tradition of trust. Residents of the surrounding communities—including Raritan, where the Papaveros were previously located—have come to know and respect that tradition. The Papaveros have held degrees in mortuary science and have been members of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. Anthony Papavero Sr. passed away on September 25, 2013, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, compassion, and service to the community. Throughout the years, Anthony and AJ upheld the highest standards of care, and today, Jason continues that legacy with the same commitment to excellence that has defined the family for generations.


Anthony Papavero Jr.: Anthony J. Papavero Jr. was born in Somerville, New Jersey, in 1966. Growing up in the family business, Anthony was inspired to follow in his father’s footsteps, becoming the fourth-generation funeral director of the family. Upon graduating from the American Academy McAllister Institute in 1992, Anthony Jr. became licensed in the State of New Jersey and went on to also become licensed in New York and Pennsylvania. He served as Past President and former Secretary of the Middlesex/Somerset County Funeral Directors Association, and was a member of both the New Jersey State and National Funeral Directors Associations. Anthony J.Papavero Jr. passed away on June 22, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, compassion, and dedicated service to the families he so faithfully served.


Jason Papavero: Jason C. Papavero was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, in 1972. Growing up in the family business, Jason developed a deep understanding of the profession and a commitment to serving families with care and compassion. After graduating in 1994 from the American Academy McAllister Institute, he joined the family business and has continued to build upon its long-standing tradition of excellence. Jason is a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association, and the ICCFA. He remains actively involved in serving the community through charitable events and sponsorships. Today, as Director, Owner, and Manager, Jason continues to lead and grow the business each year, honoring the legacy of his father and brother through his ongoing dedication to the families and communities he serves.


Serena Papavero:

Born in Somerville, New Jersey, in 2002, Serena Papavero graduated from Rutgers University in 2024 with a degree in Communications and Media Studies. Following the passing of her father, she made the decision to pursue the path he had always envisioned for her, entering the profession he valued so deeply. Serena is currently serving as a registered intern and graduated in May 2026 from Mercer County Community College with High Honors, where she was honored with the Silvio J. Failla Award and served as Treasurer of the Sigma Phi Sigma Funeral Service Fraternity, while completing her final requirements toward licensure. Committed to carrying forward her family's legacy as a fifth-generation funeral director, Serena is actively involved in the community, building meaningful relationships and connections while dedicating herself to serving families with compassion, respect, and professionalism.
