Sophia Bialy, 95, of Bridgewater, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the home of her Niece and Nephew, Ann and Gary Myer, in Bridgewater, NJ. Aunt Sophie, as we all knew her was born on July 22, 1922, in Paterson, NJ. She was the daughter of Wladyslaw (Walter) Stanczak and Katarzyna(Katherine) Galanska Stanczak. They were married on September 29, 1952, Jan passed away February 10, 2009.

Sophie and Jan enjoyed traveling to Europe, in particular Poland where they both still had family. They also enjoyed Cruises and traveled to many destinations with Bermuda being a favorite. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on board the Queen Elizabeth II. Sophie and Jan also loved entertaining and had many friends and family around them to share this passion.

Jan owned many businesses and Sophie was always there to help keep those businesses running. Jan had a passion for making jewelry and became a jeweler, he and Sophie were owners of "Jan's Jewelers" which they had stores in NJ and in FL on both the East Coast and the West Coast.
Sophie had a love for music and enjoyed listening to music all the time. She taught herself how to play the piano and organ. She was still playing the piano right up to 2 weeks ago. Hobbies were baking, tinsel painting and golf. Sophie also loved animals and had 2 beautiful Collies and a duck named Skippy. While at Ann and Gary's house their dog Bosun became her best friend and protector. Bosun always made sure Aunt Sophie was safe and Aunt Sophie always made sure Bosun got extra treats.

Aunt Sophie was an extremely special lady, she was beautiful inside and out. She had such a big heart, always had kind things to say and was never cross. In later years when she needed to depend on others to help take care of her she was the sweetest person and a complete joy to be around. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and caretakers.
