Obituary for Karim Lee Clarke

Karim Lee Clarke, 45, went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2017 in Hua Hin, Thailand. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on February 28, 1972 and graduated from Somerville High School where he played for the wrestling and football teams. His adventurous spirit had him to join the Army’s 101st Airborne Division where he honed his culinary skills and gained a love for sky diving. He obtained an Associate Degree in Business Administration and allowed that adventurous spirit to take him to Thailand and then Cambodia to teach English for more than 6 years. While he was a great cook and teacher, he will always be remembered for his intelligence and outrageous sense of humor, which really masked his sensitive spirit. Anyone who was around him for any length of time would fall prey to his outlandish comments and his infectious and boisterous laugh by joining the revelry. Despite his short time with us, we can say he lived his life his way.

He is survived by his parents, Simon Love and Neville and Eartha Clarke, sisters Leanne Clifton, Kourtney and Kandace Clarke, brother Kellen Clarke, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and honorary family members Carmela Salenga, Angie Russell, and Mike Selvaggio.

A memorial service will be held at the Branchburg Funeral Home on January 13, 2018 from 11 AM to 1 PM, located at 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08853.
