Audilia Fanti Taffera , 88, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at her residence. Born in West Exeter, PA and a former resident of Old Forge, PA, she resided in Raritan for 52 years. Mrs. Taffera worked as a Senior Clerk in the Accounting Department for the former Mack Motors in Bridgewater for 25 years, until 1988. She was a communicant of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan and was a member and past president of its Altar and Rosary Society, and for many years, helped with St. Ann's Festa. Audilia was also past president of the Raritan First Aid Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Raritan Senior Citizens. She was an avid bingo player, loved traveling with her husband and taking trips to Atlantic City, enjoyed baking and cooking for everyone, and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Taffera was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Louis J. Taffera, Jr., in 2003. Surviving are her loving son, Eugene Taffera and his wife, Frances of Readington Township and her loving daughter, Donnamarie Taffera of Raritan; her four cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Erin, Michele, and Tiffany; three great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Ella, and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9:30 AM on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a 10:15 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Ann's R.C. Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. Entombment will be at St. Bernard Cemetery and Mausoleums, Route 28, Bridgewater.
