Zuzanna Lutas Horun , 93, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Van Dyke Hospice Care Center in Toms River. Born in Czechoslovakia she came to the United States in 1934 settling in Hillside, where she resided for 34 years, before moving to Toms River 25 years ago. Zuzanna last worked in Food Service for the Schering Corporation in Union for 25 years, before retiring in 1984. Mrs. Horun was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Church in Toms River. A giving and generous person, she was active in working with the church and their activities. Zuzanna was an avid traveler who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, arts and crafts, also an exercise enthusiast, who enjoyed walking, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Andrew, in 1988. Surviving are her dear son, Andrew Horun, and wife, Helena of Bridgewater, her loving daughter, Mary Fuchs, and husband, John, of Readington, her six cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Gregory, Tami, John, Michael, and Daniel, her eleven adored great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 8:45 AM on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 1900 Brooks Boulevard, Hillsborough, NJ 08844, Interment will be at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Panaheda services will be held Friday at 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
