Wilson J. Andrews Jr. Bridgewater, NJ Wilson Andrews, 89, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Sunrise Senior Living at Bridgewater. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Wilson resided in Michigan until moving to New Jersey as a teenager, and eventually settled in Bridgewater 49 years ago. Wilson graduated as Valedictorian of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, Class of 1950. After graduating, Wilson received his Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University. While at Rutgers, he joined the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He then went on to serve our country in the U.S. Air Force and National Security Agency from 1954-1957. Wilson worked as an executive manager for Johnson & Johnson for 40 years before retiring in 1994. Wilson enjoyed traveling around the world, attending Broadway Shows, and held season tickets to the Metropolitan Opera for more than 30 years. He acquired an extensive collection of records and movies during his lifetime. After retirement, Mr. Andrews enjoyed being a "mall-walker" at the Bridgewater Commons, where he met some of his friends. The one thing Wilson enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alice and Wilson J. Andrews Sr., and brother, Thomas Andrews. Surviving are his dear son John and wife Christine Andrews of Denver, CO; a loving daughter, Megan Andrews of Somerville, NJ; and two cherished grandchildren, Andi and Jack. Memorial contributions may be made in Wilson's memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Committal is private.
