William D. Sharp Jr., 70, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his home. He was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ for most of his life before moving to Bridgewater 26 years ago.
William worked for the US Postal service for over 30 years before his retirement in 2003.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and member of the Bayonne Shooting Range.
William was an avid New York Yankee's fan and hunter, loved camping, traveling with his family, working on cars in his earlier days, watching old war movies, was a World War II buff, and cherished spending quality time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rose and William Sharp; and his sister, Carol Ajello.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years, Stella Kurasz Sharp; his dear son, William and wife Dana of Parker, CO; his loving daughter, Stephanie and husband Jay Wilson of Manville, NJ; his wonderful sister, Valerie and husband Joseph Vetter of Pohatcong, NJ; three cherished grandchildren, Jonathan, Lance, and Gabriel; his adored great-grandson, Wyatt; his Yorkie, Dewey; and many special nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 1-5pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A mass will be held at a date to be announced.
