Wen B. Chiao

Wen B. Chiao, 74, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Born in Chang-Hua, Taiwan, Wen came to the United States in 1973.

Wen received his bachelor's degree from National Tsing Hua University, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Rochester and did his postdoctoral research at the University of Maryland. Wen specialized in adhesives while working at companies such as National Starch, Dow Chemical, Ashland Chemical, Compac Corp, and Honeywell.

In his free time, Wen enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family especially his grandsons.

Wen was a devoted Christian and member of Rutgers Community Christian Church in Somerset.

Surviving is his loving wife of 47 years, Yu-Chih Chiao, sons Leo and Max; two brothers; four sisters; two grandsons and many loving nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 10am-12pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ, 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 11:30am.
