Obituary

Wayne John Zimbardo

Wayne John Zimbardo, 62, of Middlesex, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Born in Summit, New Jersey, Wayne spent most of his life in Middlesex, where he was known as a gentle giant with a warm smile. He was a loveable teddy bear with a remarkable ability to bring happiness to everyone he met.

Wayne cherished the time spent with his family, especially during the holiday. He enjoyed working on puzzles, creating jewelry with colorful beads, and dining at his favorite restaurants. One of the highlights of his week was attending 3A Care Center, followed by a quiet ride afterwards. He also treasured weekend trips to the Jersey Shore with his beloved mother, whom he loved dearly.

Wayne had a unique personality that endeared him to those around him. He was meticulous and took pride in keeping things neat and orderly, often stopping to straighten anything that seemed out of place. He was also wonderfully stubborn and preferred to do those things at his own pace, never appreciating being rushed. These qualities, along with his gentle spirit and loving nature, made him truly unforgettable.

Wayne is predeceased by his beloved father, Joseph Zimbardo, and his grandmother, Mary Iorio.

He leaves behind his devoted mother, RoseMarie Zimbardo, his loving brothers, Joe Zimbardo and his wife Jennifer, of Middlesex, New Jersey, and Jeff Zimbardo and his wife Sheri, of Middlesex, New Jersey; his cherished nieces, Milania, Gianna, and Arabella; and his nephew, Jared. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss his presence and the joy he brought into their lives.

Wayne's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
