Obituary

Wayne A. Snell, 57, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Wayne spent 8 years in Bridgewater.

For 35 years, Wayne dedicated his time to Acme as a Produce Manager.

Wayne found great joy in being a grandfather and cherished the time he spent with his five grandchildren.

In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and bowling and was always up for a good meal. Known as a jokester, “What do you call a deer with no eyes”, Wayne had an amazing sense of humor, unlike anyone else and had a way of making everyone laugh around him, no matter the circumstances.

Above all, Wayne will always be remembered for the love he had for his family, including his two fur babies, Buddy and Spotty, the happiness he found in life’s simple pleasures, and the many laughs he shared with all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Betty Hewitt.

Surviving are his loving daughter, Karyssa and husband Matthew Arne of Spring Hill, FL; his dear son, Wayne and wife Ashley Snell of Palm Harbor, FL; his partner of 8 years, Yvonne Manzo, his father, Kenneth Maire; two brothers, Larry and wife Stacy Snell; Richard and wife Cheryl Snell; his five adored grandchildren, Autumn, Lilianna, Charlotte, Isabelle, and Salem, his niece, Samantha and two nephews, Scott and Kenny.

A viewing will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 3pm-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 26, 20256 at 9:15am. Funeral Mass to follow at 10am at St. Bernard Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Committal is private.
