Wayne E. Mikus, 67, of Womelsdorf, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, November 12, 2018. Born in Newark, NJ, he resided in Bridgewater for 28 years. He moved to Florida after retiring before moving to PA 12 years ago to be closer to family.
While living in NJ, Wayne worked as a Police Officer for the City of Plainfield and then Hillsborough Township for 25 years before retiring in 1999. He was also a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Palm Coast, FL.
Wayne was an avid golfer, Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed reading, taking family vacations, collecting model trains and spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ellen and Ernest Mikus.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 45 years, Lorrie Nolan Mikus; two loving daughters, Kristy and husband Jonathan Fetzer of Bernville, PA, and Kerry and husband Brian Fee of Bridgewater, NJ; his dear brother, Craig of Upper Chichester, PA; and six cherished grandchildren, Easton, Colby, Brody, Hayden, Emerson and Deacon.
Viewing will be held Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A prayer service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:30am, followed by interment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
