He touched people's lives for 87 years
He laughed, he smiled, he wiped our tears
The folded paper towel always on hand
The coupons he cut that we finally banned
The king you knew when not to speak
When it was dinner time, don't make a peep.
At family gatherings he'd carve the meat
It had to be perfect, it had to be neat
Let's not forget fishing, "The king of the Sea"
He'd take you on a boad and show you how things should be
Never without his TV Guide
As we would watch wrestling by his side
This man was a hero to all who knew
A Veteran, a father, a grandfather, too.
I'll keep him in my heart wherever I go
There is nobody like him, the strongest man I'll ever know
