Victor P. Chester Jr. Bridgewater, NJ Victor P. Chester Jr., 69, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, he resided there for many years before moving to Bridgewater 21 years ago. Mr. Chester worked in I.T. with Unilever for over 20 years before his retirement in 2001. He was a former member of the Drum and Bugle Corporation as well as a judge for many high school marching bands throughout NJ. Victor was a Ham radio operator, taught piano for many years, was an avid movie watcher, especially classic movies, and enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Elizabeth and Victor Chester. Surviving are his beloved wife of 15 years, Gloria; 1 dear son, James and wife Anna of Bridgewater, NJ; his cherished daughter, Linda Chester of Houston, TX; 2 wonderful step sons, David and wife Jennifer Caravaglio of Staten Island, NY and Jason and wife Kristin Caravaglio of NY, NY; his loving stepdaughter, Amy and husband Brian Westberg of Piscataway, NJ; and 7 adored grandchildren, Dylan, Sophia, Joseph, Tyler, Matthew, Travis, and Bella. Viewing will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at 9:15 am at the funeral home on Friday, May 26, 2017 followed by a 10:00 am funeral liturgy at Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Bridgewater. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN, 38105.
