Ulanda Talevi Calvo, 93, died on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at her daughter's home in Gold Canyon, AZ. She was born and lived in Raritan before moving to AZ two years ago. She worked for 32 years as a lab technician and group leader at RCA in Bridgewater. Ulanda was a parishioner of St. Ann's Church in Raritan, and member of their Rosary Altar Society and Golden Age. She was also a member of Raritan Senior Citizens, Ladies Auxiliary Relief Company #2, Local Union 439, and AT&T Pioneers Volunteers. Ulanda was happiest when surrounded by family and friends and cherished life and it's blessings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook, bake and knit. She enjoyed dancing with her husband (Louis), seeing Broadway musicals, and traveling. Ulanda was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Louis Calvo Sr., her son Glenn Calvo, and her sister Lydia Maiorca. Surviving are her son Louis Calvo, Jr, her daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Bob Garrity, her daughter-in-law Janet Verner Calvo, her grandchildren Amy, Kyle, and Tara, her great grand-daughter Emily, several in-laws, nieces, nephews and godchildren. Viewing will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9:00am-11:15am at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at 11:15am followed by a 12:00pm funeral liturgy at St. Ann's R.C. Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery & Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please do an act of kindness for someone in need.
