Obituary

Tony Whalen, 45, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. Born in Edison, NJ, Tony moved to Bridgewater almost 15 years ago. Tony graduated High School from St. Joe's in Metuchen, NJ. After graduating High School, he attended Rider University where he received his bachelor's in Political Science and Spanish with a minor in International Studies. He went on to attend the University of Phoenix to obtain a Master's in Business Administration Technology. Tony was a Free & Accepted Mason of Union Lodge #19, a member of the Scottish rite of the Valley of Central Jersey, and a Den Leader in Pack 154 in Bridgewater. He was the President of the Alumni and Volunteer Corporation for the NJ Zeta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon of Rider University, a member of the Society for Information Management, and a past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the Help Desk Institute. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Allen Whalen and father-in-law James Lee Rudowski. Surviving are his dear mother Betty Whalen and his stepfather Frank Spataro, his loving wife of 20 years Laura Whalen, two children Maji Whalen and Cai Whalen, his brother Thomas Whalen, his mother-in-law Eileen Rudowski, brothers-in-law, Tim Rudowski and Bill Rudowski, four loving nieces Casey, Sydney, Natalie, & Melanie, and his dogs Ruby and Sunny.
