Tom Babalis

Tom Babalis, 68, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025 in Berlin, Maryland.

Born in Athens, Greece, Tom immigrated to America when he was 8 years old. He was raised in North Bergen, NJ, and later resided in Branchburg, NJ for 30 years. Tom worked in the service industry; owning and operating his own pizzeria and deli, as well as managing many restaurants over his lifetime.

Tom was an avid baseball card collector & fanatic who enjoyed spending his weekends going to card shows. He loved to relax and smoke cigars on the back porch, and he was looking forward to moving to Maryland to be closer to his grandson. Tom loved spending quality time with his family, anything they did he wanted to be a part of.

Tom is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Helen Raftopoulos and Nicholas Babalis, and loving dog Frankie.

Surviving are his devoted wife Sandra Babalis, his daughter Paula and husband Gary Mazet, his son Nikolas and wife Samantha Babalis, his son Eddie Babalis, his son Thomas Babalis and fiancé Sydney, his daughter Natalie Babalis, and his cherished grandchild Gary Thomas Mazet.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 5-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be make to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Tom's name.
