Thomas Joseph Kane passed away on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010. He was 56. He touched many lives with his kind heart, quick wit, and keen intelligence. Thomas was born in Newark on March 12, 1954 and graduated from Hunterdon Central High School in Raritan Township. He earned his Bachelor of Science in management, magna cum laude, from Golden Gate University in California and a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary's College of California. He had a long and successful career in management, most recently as operations manager for FerroTec Corp. in its Temescal, Calif., plant. He loved to travel, visiting more than 30 countries around the world. His many other interests included golf, reading, music, and good food and wine. Thomas is survived by his brother, Michael Kane of Poquoson, Va.; sister Patricia Cheah of Lake Forest, Calif.; sister Barbara Sullivan of Huntington Beach, Calif.; sister Teresa Kane of Milford; sister Nancy Allen of Keedysville, Md.; and sister Linda Kane of Frankfurt, Germany. He also is survived by five nieces and nephews, Jennifer Cheah, Nicole Cheah, Deanne Griswa, Michael Kane, and Jessica Kane. His generous, loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him. Thomas' father, Thomas R. Kane, passed away on November 2, 2010 and a combined Memorial Service will be held for Tommy and his father, Thomas R. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 5 PM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638. A Visitation will precede the Service from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral services will begin with a prayer on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by burials at Holy Cross Cemetery, Tilden Ave, Brooklyn, N.Y.
