Theresa M. Vitale Bridgewater, NJ Theresa Vitale, 87, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Green Knoll Center. Born in Elmwood Park, Theresa resided in Toms River for 14 years and in Forked River for 12 years before moving to Bridgewater 3 years ago. Theresa graduated from Lodi High School, Class of 1952. Theresa was the Assistant Branch Manager at Interchange State Bank in Elmwood Park for 20 years before retiring in 1994. Theresa was a member of the Italian/American Club of Forked River, Bridgewater Senior Citizens and Toms River Organ Club. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking, knitting, playing the organ, and reading. One thing Theresa enjoyed the most was spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Mamie and Louis Villano, and a son, Jeffrey Vitale (1999). She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel C. Vitale to whom she was married to for 66 years, her dear son James and wife Bernadette Vitale of Fairlawn, NJ; a loving daughter, Laura and husband David Mitchell of Bridgewater, NJ; five cherished grandchildren, LoriAnn, Thomas, Brianna, Mikayla, and Kyle and many living nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10am at St. Bernard R.C. Church. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association Greater N.J.
