Theresa A. Jala, 93, of Bedminster, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. Born in the Bronx, NY, she resided in Bridgewater, NJ for over 20 years, then moved to Cape Cod, MA, before moving to Bedminster 12 years ago. A proud graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent, Theresa worked as an Executive Assistant for Mobile Oil in Manhattan, NY, before raising her family in Ossining, NY and then Bridgewater, NJ. Theresa loved cooking, baking, getting new recipes to try from the Food Network, and seeing her loved ones enjoy her homecooked meals. She was an avid baseball, tennis, and golf fan, and loved watching her soap operas. She cherished spending quality time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces. Her kind, loving heart and vibrant smile will be forever in our hearts. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anna and Francis McMorrow; her first husband, Eugene Collity (1963); her second husband, Edward Jala (2006); and two sisters, Annabelle and Kitty. Surviving are her three loving sons, Timothy and wife Martha Collity of Livermore, CA, James Collity of Bridgewater, NJ, and Michael and wife Annette Jala of Lakewood, NJ; daughter, Maryann Carbone of NY; nine cherished grandchildren; and nine adored great-grandchildren. The viewing will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 from 3-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services with start with a prayer at the funeral home at 9:15am on Saturday, June 16, 2018 followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Bernard's R.C. Church in Bridgewater.
