Suseela Chandrasekar, age 81, of Hillsborough Township, NJ, passed away on 4th January 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on 21st February 1944 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India, Suseela was the beloved daughter of Lakshmi Nagarajan and Nagarajan Ramaswamy, and the second eldest of nine siblings. Suseela retired as the Chief of Information Resource Center at the Picatinny Arsenal, Dover. Her bubbly personality charmed all her friends and those who met her. She shouldered responsibilities of cultural organizations in NYC in the '70s and '80s. She was known for her generosity of spirit, charismatic personality, and quick wit. Her unique collection of saris has attracted several sari connoisseurs. She touched the lives of several people across her family, extensive community engagement, and long career.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Krishnamurti Chandrasekar, four sisters, a brother and several loving nephews, nieces and grandnephews and grandnieces.

A visitation service will be held on 6th January 2026 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Branchburg Funeral Home (Address: 910 US-202, Branchburg, NJ 08876). Her last rites will be performed at the same location on Wednesday, 7th January 2026 from 9-11 am followed by cremation at 12:30pm at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
