Obituary

Susan Ann Marie Koslosky, 59, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at her home. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Susan resided in Flemington, NJ for 8 years before recently moving to Branchburg. Susan graduated from Wall Township High School, Class of 1981 of Monmouth County, NJ. Known for being a social butterfly, she was not shy to make conversation with anyone who crossed her path. Motherly, would best describe Susan by friends near and dear to her. She ended her day the same way she started it; with a cigarette in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. Since childhood, the beach was one of her favorite places to be. Often times you'd hear Susan's boisterous laugh paired with her natural raconteur. Whether it was stories reliving time spent at the Stone Pony, memorable moments she gathered growing up on the beach, or her legendary tales of her rebellious youth; it felt as if you had a front row seat in those particular experiences. As a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, not only would she look forward to watching their games, but also to discuss highlights with her son in law, Mike. Susan took her journey towards maintaining her sobriety and supporting sobriety of others very seriously; paying it forward was important to her. With her unwavering faith and diligence in her maintaining her sobriety, she made sure not to take a single moment for granted. Especially those moments shared with her family. As a single mom to an only daughter, it's no question that the bond between the two goes unmatched. For every curve ball life threw out, it was often battled together, which made for a joyous win. She also loved and admired her niece, Brenna Murphy. While Susan loved many things in life, nothing could compare to the love she had for her granddaughter, Sadie Grace. Often nicknamed by her as "the baby" or "itsy bits" it was Sadie that brought so much love and light to her life. Many times Susan referred to her as her "purpose," and the love she had for her Sadie went unmatched. Until her last day, Susan Ann Marie Koslosky gave her all. She did her best. She loved and lifted others up. While she did have a no nonsense approach, she accomplished the delicate balance of being loving, yet firm. Each day was to be cherished and she did her best to live by example, to do the right thing, try your best, and to do unto others as you would want done to you. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Helen (Flaherty) Denegar and Harold Koslosky. She is survived by her loving daughter, Meghan (Michael) Coppolino, and adored granddaughter, Sadie, of Audubon, NJ; brother, Thomas Denegar and two sisters, Colleen Koslosky; Heather (Joe) Hubbs; along with her nieces and nephews, Brenna Murphy, Keegan Murphy, Erin Murphy, and Sean Denegar. Memorial contributions may be made in Susan's memory to The American Cancer Society in honor of her mother, Helen Denegar. Committal is private.
