Stephen P. Baumbusch

Bridgewater, NJ

Stephen P. Baumbusch, 55, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Montclair, NJ, he was a Bloomfield, NJ resident most of his early life before moving to Bridgewater 29 years ago.

Stephen graduated from Bloomfield High School, Class of 1986.

Stephen was a Distributor Stock Specialist currently with Cooper Lighting Solutions. With 35 years in the industry Stephen made a name for himself who touched the lives of many.

Stephen enjoyed all sports, playing soccer and baseball through high school, and continued to play golf, fistball, team handball, and ski throughout his adult life. In 1989 Stephen had the honor of making the Junior World Team for handball playing in Spain representing the United States. He loved the sport so much he continued playing until he no longer could, then turned to being a referee. Stephen was an avid Giants and Yankees fan following any sport that had a ball or puck. He was a self-proclaimed weatherman, had a love for gummy bears, spending time at the beach and the Swim and Sport Club with friends. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents and nephew, Zachary Heuple.

Surviving are his loving wife of 29 years, Colette Crandall Baumbusch, his dear son, Ryan Baumbusch of Bridgewater, NJ; his loving daughter, Alexandra Baumbusch of Bridgewater, NJ; his parents, Elizabeth and Peter Baumbusch; and his sister, Laurie and husband Michael Heuple, of Vienna, VA and nephew Colton Heuple.

Committal is private.

Celebration of Life will be held on January 13, 2024 from 1-4pm at the Swim and Sport Club 272 Emmans Road in Flanders, NJ 07836.
