Stanley Romasz was reunited with the love of his life, Jane, in heaven on August 9, 2024.

Stanley was born to Weronika and Walter Romasz in Northeastern Poland on September 14, 1938. He spent his early years living on his family's large farm before being sent with other Polish citizens from his village to work in German work camps in Siberia. His family was transported many times throughout his childhood to places like Kahzakstan, Tehran and Northern Africa, where he would spend four years of his childhood in a refugee camp. Stanley found himself in England after the war and then finally immigrated to the USA with his family.

Stanley was a proud American who served his country in the Air Force in a sea and air rescue squadron in the Artic. It was during his time in the Air Force that he met his beloved Jane at a dance at the Polish Falcons in Manville, NJ. They married and went on to settle in Bridgewater, NJ, where they raised their two children and were married for 52 years. His family was his pride and joy. He was so proud of his wife and children.

Stan began his professional career as a draftsman and worked his way up to Project Manager at Hamon. After 45 years, he retired and he and Jane traveled, relaxed, and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren.

Stan's love for his grandchildren surpassed everything. They were his greatest joy and he spent enormous amounts of quality time with them. Stan never missed a game, recital, or event that concerned his grandchildren. He enjoyed babysitting and taking the grandchildren on adventures. Family vacations to the beach were the highlight of the year and the best of times. Wildwood Crest and The Outer Banks were special places to Stan and his family. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren, and loved them dearly and cared for them above all else.

Leaving behind to miss, but cherish his memory are his dear son James of Grenville, SC, his devoted daughter Linda Hoinowski and her husband Jeff of Branchburg, NJ, his beloved grandchildren, Marissa, Gavin, Paige and Rachel. He was also an uncle, brother, brother-in law, and friend to so many people.

Stan made the world a better place and we are all better people because of him. He was many people's "safe harbor."

A funeral mass celebrating Stan's life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Martinsville, NJ at 12:00 pm, with a luncheon afterwards at Luna Rossa Restaurant in Bedminster, NJ. Internment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery will be held privately in the fall.
