Stanley Burghard Astoria, NY Stanley Burghard, 91, of Astoria, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at his home. Before his retirement, Stanley worked as a Tool and Dye Designer for A & E Electronics in Queens, NY. Stanley was a kind and generous person, who enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling across the U.S. in his early years, being a photographer, listening to Big Band, Blue Grass, and Country music, and spending quality time with his family, especially his granddaughter. He was a "happy go lucky guy" and always the life of the party bringing a smile to everyone. Stanley will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Josephine and Joseph Burghard; his brother, Zbigniew Burghard, a sister who passed at birth; his loving aunt and uncle, Stefania and Josef Flisikowski; and ex-wife, Alfreda Burghard. Surviving are his two dear sons, George and wife, Lucy Burghard of Neshanic Station, NJ; and Richard and wife, Nina Burghard of New Brunswick, NJ; and his loving daughter, Christine Burghard of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by his only cherished grandchild, Caroline and her husband, Karl Erikson of Hillsborough, NJ; and two cherished great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Henry; and his cousin, Robert and wife, Nadia Flisikowski of Pine Island NY, and their children, Karen and Joseph. Viewing will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home at 10:15am on Saturday, September 15, 2018, followed by an 11:00am funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church in Three Bridges, NJ. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
