Stacy L. Schechter, 57, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Summit, NJ, Stacy spent most of her life in Bridgewater.

Stacy worked for Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Systems Business Analyst.

During her free time, Stacy loved going down to the Jersey Shore, even owning a beautiful home a few blocks from the beach in Seaside Heights. She fell in love with real estate at a young age and would have owned half of the homes in New Jersey if she could. She had an eye for it, and no project was too ambitious for her. She loved watching reality TV, frequently studying HGTV for new home project inspiration. She stayed invested in the Jersey Shore, and was an avid watcher of the Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. Her favorite movies were Pitch Perfect and Enchanted because she appreciated a good love story almost as much as she loved to sing. If there was a karaoke microphone in her vicinity, she was going to use it, loud and proud. She made her house a home, but she never let her feet stay planted for too long. She enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises with her family and girl friends. She visited numerous countries and tropical locations in search for her next adventure, making the most of every moment spent.

She was a well known name in the neighborhood, and had more friends than she could count. She became a regular at every local business in the area and every owner recognized the family when they walked in because of her. She took part in Bunco game night with the same tight knit group of friends for almost twenty years, always choosing October as her month to host because she loved decorating the house for Halloween. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family; laughing, taking pictures and making life long memories.

A kind soul, Stacy was a bright light in everyone's life. She always had a good mantra to share (or wear on a t-shirt). Even faced with countless trials and tribulations, she stayed positive and optimistic until the very end. She put others before herself, and stepped up as the friend that everyone needs in their life. If you told her that you liked something, she would buy you twenty of it the next day without a second thought. She bore the weight of the world on her shoulders to ensure that her people were cared for and safe. Her love was gravitational, and her smile was contagious. She was goofy, quirky and hilarious, but most of all; she was unapologetically herself.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Palmer.

Surviving are her loving husband, Arthur Pastore, three dear sons, Kyle and wife Carly Schechter of Franklin Park, NJ; Ryan Schechter of Bridgewater, NJ; Zachary Schechter of Bridgewater, NJ; her daughter, Ashley Pastore of Raritan, NJ; her mother, Carol (Porsavage) Palmer; her brother John and wife Regina Palmer of Bridgewater, NJ; and one granddaughter on the way.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 3pm-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 9:15am. Funeral Mass to take place at 10am at St. Bernard Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
