Shirley E. "Nani" Dowches Bridgewater, NJ Shirley E. "Nani" Dowches, 76, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018 at her home. Born in Morristown, NJ, she resided in Bernardsville for most of her life before moving to Bridgewater 31 years ago. Shirley worked as an Executive Secretary for over 20 years with J.W. Allen Insurance Brokerage. Before retiring in 2016, Shirley worked as a receptionist at Raritan Family Healthcare in Raritan, NJ. Shirley was a former member of the American Legion Post 327 in Bridgewater and the Somerville Lions Club Axillary. Shirley was an avid reader and movie goer, loved doing crossword puzzles, ceramics, gardening, knitting, drinking wine, spending time with her "girls" and was a devoted friend to many. She most especially loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Judith and Bertil Jansson; her loving husband of 17 years, Joseph (2000); and two brothers, Richard "Dick" Jansson and Robert "Beege" Jansson. Surviving are her dear son Bobby and wife Nicole Dowches of Bridgewater, NJ; her loving daughter, Stephanie and husband Eric Werrlein of Bridgewater, NJ; seven cherished grandchildren, Amber, Alexa, Michael, Ceili, Alexus, Zoey, and Chace; three adored great-grandchildren, Julian, Damien, and Adrian; a host of wonderful friends; her cats, Bear and Mimzy; and her Hound, Nya. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 11am-1pm with a prayer service at 12:30pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
