Sharon Denise Pridgen heard the Lord our Father's voice saying, job well done my good and faithful servant. God called her home on September 13, 2024. Born on January 7, 1963, in Elizabeth, NJ, to her late parents, Marion Lee Pridgen, Sr. and Hilda Grace Dawson Pridgen.

Sharon received her high school diploma from Linden High School, class of 1981. After graduating, Sharon received two blessings that she now joins in heaven, Sean T. Garris and LaTasha A. Garris.

After graduating, Sharon worked for Merk Company in Rahway, NJ for many years.

In 1995, Sharon became an Eastern Star joining the chapter Rose of Sharon #157 under the leadership of the late Sister Virgina Goff. Her goal was to give back to her community in every way she possibly could. She reached her goal and found happiness helping others.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, her two children, Sean T. Garris and LaTasha A. Garris, her granddaughter, Amiyah Londyn, her sister, Shelia J. Griffin, her two brothers Maurice C. Pridgen, Marion Lee. Jr. Pridgen, her godson, SaQuan Huling, and her brother-in-law, Anthony Kirksey.

Sharon leaves behind her love and everlasting memories of her grandchildren, Jada R. Garris, Tiana Garris, Keyon I. Tanner and Deshawn Pitman-Garris, her godchildren, Jerome Jones-Waits, Shondell Holmes and Shamirah Hurling and, her sisters, Carla Y. Pridgen and Chevonne Bogard-Pridgen, her god sisters, Regina Coleman, Betty Lee Jones and Willette Martin, her great aunts Wilhelmina Edward, Frances Wynn, Evelyn Pridgen, Vera Pridgen, great uncles, James, Will and Roger Dixon, Chester Pridgen, Lonnie Dawson, and Uncle Mike, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and her longtime friend of 38 years, Tyrone Underwood.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Zion Temple Pentecostal Church in Linden, NJ. Burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
