Sergio Scarpellini , 81, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Care One at Madison Avenue in Morristown. Born in Livorno, Province of Tuscany, Italy, Sergio moved to the United States in 1969 and was a former resident of Raritan before moving to Bedminster in 2002. Mr. Scarpellini worked as a Line Tender for Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation in Raritan for 25 years, until retiring. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Luana Bonistalli Scarpellini in 2003. Surviving are his loving daughters, Paola Scarpellini and husband, Arlin Crotts of New York City, NY and Patrizia Scarpellini of Bedminster; his dear brother, Piero Scarpellini and wife, Nara and his dear sister, Maria Bocci and husband, Paolo, all of Italy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 12:30 PM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638, preceded by a 12:00 to 12:30 PM viewing.
