Seena B. Allen
Somerset, NJ
Seena Allen passed away on July 28, 2022 after a short battle with covid. She died at home surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and modeling her tenacity and quiet strength.
As a working, single mother, Seena completed her Bachelor's degree in business and worked for many years with an international firm achieving global recognition among her peers. A trailblazer in business, she raised the bar for women to follow. Throughout her years, she met all challenges head on. Even in her 90s, she learned and used modern technology, drove around town, enjoyed exercise classes, and continued to engage in social activities. When she retired in her 70s, she immediately got involved in her town's organizations, and often commented that she was busier than when she had been employed. She later moved to Somerset, and there she continued to be active in her community, serving as a block caption and the director of the activities committee for ten years, only recently stepping down from her leadership position, but continuing to serve on the committee. Throughout her working and retirement years, she was an avid world traveler and loved attending civic and cultural events, especially Broadway and Paper Mill Playhouse shows.
She is survived by her beloved children, Susan and Tony Panzica, Anita Allen, Joseph and Susan Allen, and her cherished grandchildren, Lauren and AJ Panzica, and Avery and Sydney Allen.
Per her wishes, there will be no funeral. A private remembrance gathering will be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her honor to the nonprofit Greenhouse Arts Center, which has established the Seena Allen Scholarship Fund.
