Samuel Barcellona, 94, of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at his residence surrounded by family. Born in Newark, NJ, he resided in Union, NJ for 36 years before moving to Whitehouse Station 27 years ago.
Samuel graduated from Union High School in 1943 and attended Newark College of Engineering.
Samuel served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II.
Sam enjoyed golfing, riding his tractor, and mostly spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Gertrude and Samuel Barcellona, his wife of 58 years Evelyn Wadell Barcellona, two sisters, Evelyn Guariglia, and Rose Dellane.
Surviving are his loving daughters Carol and husband John Osuch of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and Claire Barcellona of Whitehouse Station, NJ; three grandchildren Michael, Nicholas and spouse Evan, Larissa and spouse Andrew, his devoted dog GiGi (his "bubbaccina"), his granddaughter's dog Tucker (his eating buddy), a niece and a nephew.
