Ruth Viola Franchini, 94, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on September 23, 2020. She was born to parents Leo Wolf and Bertha Wolf, on May 7, 1926 in Mt. Carmel PA.
Ruth never had much of a formal education, she graduated from the 8th grade in Mount Carmel, PA and then came Clarke, NJ to work in a coffee shop her brother Walter owned.
Ruth worked as a waitress for 55 plus years. She was also a ceramicist and was the owner of Cranford Ceramic Craft during the 1980s. After 55 plus years of service, she retired from waitressing, her last place to work was Sterling Diner, in Sterling, NJ.
She had a passion for rescuing animals with the Summit Animal Rescue League, also enjoyed doing puzzles of any kind, traveling, and spending time with grandchildren. Ruth celebrated a surprise 90th birthday at the Somerville Elks, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Ruth had four children, Marcel Sansig, Lawrence Franchini Jr., Lisa Franchini, and Lance Franchini.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Lisa Franchini and husband Gary Hackerd, two sons, Lawrence Franchini, Lance Franchini, six grandchildren, Craig, Nicole, Damen, Patricia, Austin, and Michael.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Leo and Bertha Wolf and a son Marcel Morris Sansig.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 11am-2pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will be begin on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the funeral home at 1:30pm.
Committal is private.
