Rudolph C. Ribar Jr., 85, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark, NJ, Rudolph grew up in South Plainfield and spent the last 50 years in Bridgewater.

Rudolph graduated from North Plainfield High School, Class of 1956. Shortly after, he joined the Marine Corps and served from 1956 to 1959. After his time in the Marine Corps, Rudolph went on to work for Johnson and Johnson as a Maintenance Mechanic.

Rudolph loved cars, truck, and country music. Each and every summer, he loved going down to the Jersey Shore to spend quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary and Rudolph C. Ribar Sr., his in-laws, Mary and Charles Indiviglia, and his nephew, Scott Ribar.

Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Mary A. Ribar, a dear son, John K. Ribar (Jennifer M. Hughes), a loving daughter, Maria Sevell (John), one brother, Kenneth Ribar (Brenda) and two cherished grandchildren, Alex Gillespie and John Sevell.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 4 to 8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A second viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 8:30am to 9:15am with a prayer service beginning at the funeral home at 9:15am. A funeral mass will take place at St. Ann's Church in Raritan at 10am. Burial to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
