Ruby Jaramillo, 88, of Piscataway, NJ, passed away peacefully on her birthday; Thursday, December 25, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sevilla Valle, Colombia, Ruby came to the United States in September of 1971, and settled in Elizabeth, NJ.

Ruby's life revolved around her family; if she wasn't tending to them, you would find her outside in her garden, shopping, or at the hair or nail salon. She was an active member at the YMCA in Piscataway, NJ. Ruby loved to travel, she was an avid food enthusiast, and a strong resilient woman; dedicated to her faith. Ruby was the glue that held everyone together.

Most of all, Ruby truly enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Marina Carrillo de Franco and Carlos Romulo Franco, her husband; Fabio Jaramillo, and her eldest son; Jose Antonio Perea.

Surviving are her four loving children, Carmen and her late husband Diogenes Mosquera of Bridgewater, NJ; Walter Jaramillo and wife Luz Marina of North Carolina; Leonardo Jaramillo and wife Isabelle Suarez of Elizabeth, NJ; Veronica and husband Alejandro Medina of Hillsborough, NJ; her daughter in law, Ana Moreno, seven loving siblings, eight cherished grandchildren, Andres Mosquera, Jennifer Jara, Tatiana Moncada, Katherine Jaramillo, Alejandra Jaramillo, Naomi Medina, Alejandro Medina, Benicio Jaramillo, and six adored great grandchildren, Aaliyah Moncada, Orion Mosquera, Genesis Jara, Phoenix Mosquera, Kaleb Jara, and Eric Moncada.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 3pm-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 9:15am. Funeral mass will take place at 10am at St. Bernard Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Burial to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
