Rosemarie Caroselli (nee Grecco), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, age 90, of Neshanic Station, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Somerset Medical Center surrounded by family. She was born in Jersey City, resided in Clark for 48 years before moving to Neshanic Station 11 years ago.
Rosemarie graduated from St Aloysius High School in Jersey City. She worked at Metropolitan Life in NYC, Prudential Insurance in Clark, NJ, and later at Merck & Co. Inc. in Rahway, NJ from which she retired.
Rosemarie loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed listening to her grandchildren perform music, playing cards and Scrabble with friends and family, and Facetiming with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook with her family and passed down traditional Italian recipes to her daughters and grandchildren.
Rosemarie loved to learn new things and have intellectual conversations. Tech savvy, she was always reading, taking online classes, and pondering current events.
Rosemarie was a lifelong devotee to community and activity. She loved walking, dancing, knitting, and going to the Clark Pool with friends. She enjoyed exercise classes at Clark Senior Center, Branchburg Senior Club, and the Somerset County Senior Wellness Center. She volunteered her time at the Neshanic Station Library and Branchburg Senior Club.
Rosemarie was a fighter full of optimism. She overcame major traumas in her life, including the premature death of her husband and surviving breast cancer three times.
Rosemarie was a beautiful light to all that knew her. Rosemarie instills the values of love, spontaneity, family, perseverance, compassion, and lifelong learnings in all of us.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marie (Cucinotta) and Emanuel Grecco, her husband Francis Caroselli (1995) and brother Vincent Grecco. She is survived by her three daughters, Marie Karinja of Hampton, NJ; Frances and husband John Donahue of Byron, IL; Catherine and husband Greg Bielat of Branchburg, NJ; her brother Joseph and wife Josette Grecco of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren: Jeffrey, Gregory, Mark, Gregory John, and Rose; and five great-grandchildren: Cecilia, Isabel, Hazel, Jacqueline, and Ava.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10am at St. Bernard R.C. Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Committal is private.
