Rose Michenfelder Petriw , 87, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Born in Zeutern, Germany, Rose came to the United States sixty years ago. A former resident of Plainfield, she resided in South Plainfield for the past twenty years. Mrs. Petriw worked as a self-employed Housekeeper for many years, until retiring. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerhard Petriw in December 2011; her infant daughter, Elizabeth; two brothers and one sister. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, John Petriw; her dear daughter-in-law, Eileen Petriw; her two grandchildren, Christopher Petriw and his wife, Vickie and Melissa Petriw and her fiancé, Joseph Volturo; and her great-grandson, Alex Petriw. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 2 to 3:30 with a Memorial Service to begin at 3:30 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638.
