Rose Marie C. Schlack, 85, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Born in Newark, Rose moved to Milpitas, California where she resided with her husband for several years before moving back to New Jersey. Rose resided in Branchburg for the past 50 years.

Rose graduated from St. Vincent's Academy in Newark, in 1957. She then went on to receive her Medical Secretary certification in 1959 from Essex County Vocational and Technical School. Shortly after, Rose met her loving husband, Richard, and the two married, spending over 60 amazing years together.

Rose worked as a secretary for the Branchburg Board of Education for over 30 years before retiring in 2003. She was also a member of the Volunteer Rescue Squad of Branchburg. Rose was actively involved in the San Jose PTA Association as well as the Branchburg PTO.

Rose was an avid bowler. She loved to cook and craft, excelling in the creative knotting technique, macramé. She was a joyous individual, constantly singing and dancing. Rose loved traveling to the Outer Banks, Lake George, and Niagara Falls with her family. She enjoyed spending her summers down at the Jersey Shore, specifically in Point Pleasant. Rose loved her crossword puzzles as well as her game shows: Wheel of Fortune and the Price is Right. However, the one thing she enjoyed most of all was spending quality time with her family, especially her 3 cherished sons, 10 adorned grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mario and Nancy Parella, and her loving husband, Richard Schlack.

Surviving are her three dear sons, Robert and his wife Michelle Schlack of Bethlehem, PA; Richard W. Schlack of Clinton, NJ; Thomas and his wife April Schlack of Glen Gardner, NJ; ten cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Cory, Richard, Robert, Andrew, Makayla, Jacob, Tyler, Bradley, and Amy Marie, and two adored great grandchildren, Noah and Summer, along with several loving nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 1-5 pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home located at 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 4:30 pm.

Committal is private.
