Rosalie P. Kotarsky, 84, of Manville, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Somerville, NJ, Rosalie grew up in Raritan, NJ before marrying and moving to Manville.
Her love of books led Rosalie to work for Manville Public Library as a librarian for over 15 years. She loved helping all, especially children, in their pursuit of reading.
Rosalie was an avid New York Yankees and New York Football Giants fan. She loved watching all sports, Hallmark Christmas movies, game shows, and the WWE. She enjoyed taking day/short trips, shopping, going to basket auctions, and attending celebrations for her nieces and nephews. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family especially her children, Terri and Tom.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents John and Elsie Gambino, her husband, Thomas E. Kotarsky (2008), two brothers, Anthony Gambino, and John (Sonny) Gambino, three sisters, Maryann Mann, Phyllis Ader, and Jean Sodolski.
Surviving are her dear son, Thomas Kotarsky of Manville, NJ; her loving daughter, Teresa (Terri) Kotarsky of Manville, NJ; two sisters, Edna Gambino of Bridgewater, NJ; Ethel Beavers of Bridgewater, NJ; a brother-in-law Paul Mann of Somerville; a sister-in law, Arlene Gambino and many loving nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 6-8pm at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 9:15am. Funeral mass will take place at St. Ann's Church, Raritan at 10am. Burial to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
