Ronald Vitale, 78, of Dagsboro, DE, passed away on September 11, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Ronald resided in Raritan for 30 years and Piscataway for 3 years before moving to Delaware 2 years ago. Ron graduated from Arthur L. Johnson Regional High School with the class of 1961. He went on to receive his Master's Degree in Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He worked as a cement truck driver for Phillips-Mensing in Piscataway for over 25 years before retiring in 2002. Ronald served his community in many ways, including as a 4-H Fair manager for several years and as a former Eucharistic minister at St. Ann's in Raritan. He was also a softball coach in Raritan for his daughters for many years. Ron enjoyed gardening, traveling, especially to the Caribbean and spending time outdoors. He loved listening to music, especially the oldies, and collecting pocket watches. His greatest passion was spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ronald is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rita and Fred Vitale, a sister, Alice, his loving wife of 25 years, Sandy Vitale (2004), and his sweet canine companion, Daisy. Surviving are his two loving daughters, Andrea and husband Michael Lockard of Salem, OR; Lindsay and husband John Bezak Jr. of Harmony, NJ; five cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nathaniel, Alinea, Alexander, and Ava; his son, Ronald Vitale, Jr of TX; one brother, Ricky and wife Anne Vitale of Wrightstown, NJ; one sister, Diane Paul; his fiancé Patricia Makowski of Dagsboro, DE; and extended family, Marybeth (Chris) Kastrud and Matthew (Mary) Makowski and the Kastrud and Makowski children. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 9:15am. A funeral mass will take place at 10am at St. Ann's R. C. Church in Raritan.
