Roberta Ann Kaar Neshanic Station, NJ Roberta Ann Kaar, 78, of Neshanic Station, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville. She was born in Newark, NJ, and has resided in Neshanic Station for the last 30 years of her life. Roberta was a former member of the New Jersey Education Association and former member of Christ the King Church in Hillside. Roberta worked for over 42 years as a Teacher where she started at Battin High School for 3 years, and then Spotswood High School for 39 years before her retirement in 2005. She loved gardening, cooking, was an avid traveler, especially of Aruba with her husband every year, and Las Vegas. She was a big animal lover and adored her three cats, Inca, Samantha and Prince. Roberta had the biggest heart and would do anything for someone in need. Her beautiful smile and wonderful candor will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mary and Edward Graf. Surviving are her beloved husband Lester Kaar of 55 years; two dear brothers, Edward and wife Lorraine Graf of Manchester, NJ, and Allen and wife Joan Graf of Union, NJ; five loving cousins, Nancy Hartman of Union, NJ, Susan and Anthony Conforti of Branchburg, NJ, Carol and husband Robert Poth of Parlin, NJ, Linda and husband Anthony Ventola of PA, and John and wife Diane O'Lock of Myrtle Beach, SC; and two dear nephews.
