Robert G. Walker , 92, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Somerset Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Bound Brook. Born in Nicholson, PA and a former resident of Hillsborough, Robert resided in Branchburg for 50 years. Mr. Walker was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. Mr. Walker worked in the Maintenance Department for Ortho Pharmaceutical Corp. in Raritan for thirty years, until retiring in 1984. Robert was a communicant of St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Raritan. He was the captain of the Ortho Men's bowling team and enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Agnes Mutek Walker in 2007; and his two brothers, Joel H. Walker and Jack E. Walker. Surviving are his loving daughter, Sherilyn Huey and husband, Arthur of Tobyhanna, PA; his three grandsons, Richard A. Huey of PA, Michael A. Huey of MD, and Brian L. Huey of FL; his eight great-grandchildren; his step-sister, Sue Lawall and step-brother, Jerry Walker. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 30, 2012, at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 16 E. Somerset Street, Raritan. Interment of cremains will be private.
