Robert C. Farrell , 86, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at his residence. Born in Carbondale, PA, he resided in Hillsborough for 54 years. Mr. Farrell served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as a salesman for the heating, air conditioning and ventilation department for Sears in Watchung for 30 years before retiring in 1989. He was an avid golfer and had a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and James Farrell. Surviving are his beloved wife of 59 years, Anne Elizabeth Casey Farrell; his six loving daughters, Eileen Leddy, Nancy (Roger) Furstenburg, Mary (Iqbal) Pawar, Susan (Clifford) Soliwoda, Millie (David) Glaser and Peggy Farrell; his two loving sons, Robert (Michele) Farrell and Michael (Patricia) Farrell; sixteen grandchildren, including two granddaughters Nancy Wagner and Karen Pogue whom he raised; four great-grandchildren, his sister, Peggy Farrell; his brothers, Joseph, Thomas and Leo Farrell. Funeral services will begin with a prayer on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 8:00 AM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a 9:00 AM Funeral Liturgy at Christ the King Church, 211 Louis Street, Manville. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough. Viewing hours are Friday, August 6, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
