Rita Anne Hooker Raritan, NJ Rita Anne Hooker was born to Rita and Alfred Yanone October 22, 1942 in the Borough Richmond of Staten Island, New York. She entered into Eternal Rest on the morning of April 21, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville, New Jersey. Rita's family, friends, and faith were the source of all joy to her in life. Being a wife, mother and grandmother her most precious devotions. The Love she so abundantly gave can only be matched by the laughter and memories it created. Her beauty will forever only be matched by her elegance and dignity and Rita's resolve to live matched only by her endless strength to do so. Listen to music that moved her. Surviving are her best friend and devoted husband of 60 years Richard Hooker, her loving daughter Kimberly A. Hooker-Halle and husband Michael of Hillsborough, NJ; her adoring son Richard W. Hooker Jr. "Duke" and Fiancé Maria R. Candela of Flemington, NJ; one brother, Alfred and wife Kinez Yanone of Columbia, TN; two sisters, Claudia Cina of Manhattan, NY; Marilyn and husband Paul Moses of Morristown, NJ; two cherished grandchildren, Kristen Anne Liuzzo and Katherine Marguerite Halle. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews surrounded by Rita's endless love. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 16 , 2022 at 10am at St. Magdalen R.C. Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington , NJ 08822. At the family's request private entombment will follow.
