Richard L. Murphy Readington, NJ Richard Murphy, of Readington, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at RWJ Somerset. Born in Morristown, NJ, Richard grew up in Warren and attended WHRHS. He spent 20 years in Hillsborough, before moving to Readington 4 years ago. Rick worked for many years at Rotor Clip, recently retiring. Rick could fix anything. He loved jet skiing, working on his cars and attending auto shows. He was an avid Giants fan. He enjoyed 4 wheeling through Cape Cod, playing corn hole, horse shoes and any other sport he could compete in. He especially enjoyed getting together with his siblings. But most importantly, Rick enjoyed spending quality time with his wife, daughter, brand new granddaughter and his beloved dog, Maui. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Mary Frances and George E. Murphy. Surviving are his best friend of 40 years/loving wife of 34 years, Cynthia Proctor Murphy, his cherished daughter Heather Murphy; five brothers, Frances, George (Linda), Tom (Carol), James, Robert, one sister Mary Linda Lawa (Jack) and a cherished granddaughter Leila and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 10am-12pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A private Inurnment will follow at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetary in Stirling, NJ.
