Obituary

Raymond J. Seigler Junior

Bedminster, NJ.

Raymond J. Seigler Jr., 44, an accomplished employment and labor attorney, passed away on July 6, 2023, at his home in Bedminster, NJ. Born in Somerville, NJ, Raymond grew up in Manville, NJ, before moving to Raritan, NJ, then Bedminster, NJ. Raymond graduated from Manville High School, where he was an outstanding and dedicated wrestler. He received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Criminology from Florida Southern College and then graduated with a juris doctorate from Seton Hall Law School.

After law school, Raymond became the judicial clerk for the Honorable Alvaro L. Iglesias, J.S.C. Upon completing his clerkship, he joined the Firm of Chasan Lamparello Mallon & Cappuzzo, PC, as an associate in 2008. He rose through the ranks of the Firm to become Of Counsel and eventually a Partner. As Chair of the Firm's Employment and Labor Department, Raymond proved himself to be a top-rank employment attorney, receiving numerous accolades in his 15 years of practice, which included being named to the "Super Lawyer" list, as published by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, and recognized by the Best Lawyers in America in the field of Labor and Employment Litigation. Beyond possessing strong litigation and negotiation skills, Raymond was endowed with the ability to effortlessly mentor and guide young attorneys. He not only taught them the law, he imparted upon them the practical skills necessary to become successful lawyers in their own right. For his clients and colleagues, Raymond was the "go to" attorney for all questions, issues and cases related to employment law.

Raymond's athletic abilities and dedication to physique followed him well after high school. He often could be found late evenings working out and weight-lifting at the gym. Raymond was also an avid baseball fan, dedicated to watching and cheering on his beloved Red Sox. In his free time, Raymond enjoyed ordering take out, playing video games, and relaxing with his cherished dog, Sonny. Raymond especially loved playing competitive games of cornhole with his Mama.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father Raymond J. Seigler Sr. (2012), and his younger brother Ryan Seigler (2014). Surviving are his loving mother, Joanne, and stepfather Martin Kulaszewski of Whitehouse Station, NJ. Raymond also leaves behind his stepsister, Lisa and, her husband Dave Enny, and their son David of Oakhurst, NJ. Ray will also be missed by his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, work family, and many friends. He was also a beloved "doggy daddy" to Santino, "Sonny".
