Phyllis Perrine, 81, of Flemington, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her home. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Phyllis resided in Millington for 15 years before moving to Flemington 30 years ago.
Phyllis graduated from Benedictine Academy in 1957 and later received her Associates Degree.
Phyllis worked first as a beautician for, and then owner of Richard's Salon in Somerville for 30 years before retiring in 2012.
Phyllis was a member of the Jaycee Wives in Long Hill Township. She was an avid reader, loved playing pinochle and dominoes. She enjoyed traveling, especially throughout Europe, making Ireland her favorite place to visit. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, gardening, the Jersey Shore especially Long Beach Island and Amityville, LI, where she spent her summers. One thing Phyllis enjoyed the most was spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Margaret and Walter Moneypenny, her husband Charles Perrine (1987), four sisters, Margaret Gilzow, Anne Chapman, Mary Bock, and Rita Price, two brothers, John and Walter Moneypenny, and a son Christopher Perrine (1998).
Surviving are her two dear sons, Daniel T. Perrine of Flemington, NJ; Charles W. Perrine of Branchburg, NJ; two sisters, Helen Moran of Berkeley Heights, NJ; Susan and husband Dalton Beasley of Seminole, FL; four cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, April, and Carly and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial ceremony will be held on Thursday June 17 from 10am-11am followed by a 11am mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Rd., Three Bridges, NJ.
Committal is private.
