Phoebe Caldwell Ferguson , 94, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater. Born in Paisley, Scotland, she resided most of her life in the Newark and East Orange area than Point Pleasant for 30 years, moving to Bridgewater seven years ago. She was an assembly line worker for more than 30 years with Westinghouse Electric of Bloomfield until retiring in 1974. She than managed the Pt. Pleasant Hospital Thrift Shop for over 20 years. Phoebe was a proud volunteer at the hospital. She was a member of the Lady Guard of Pt. Pleasant and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of the St. Peter's Church and St. Martha's Church both in Pt. Pleasant. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's R.C. Church in Bridgewater. Phoebe was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Joseph, in 1996 and also 12 siblings. Surviving are her loving son, Joseph and daughter-in-law Carol of Louisville, KY, her loving daughter Barbara Lubrani and son-in-law Anthony of Bridgewater, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
