Philip L. Stocker Sr. Locomotive Engineer Raritan Philip L. Stocker Sr., 71 died Sunday April 11, 2004 at the Somerset Medical Center Somerville N.J. Born in Linden, N.J., he resided in Piscataway for 25 years before moving to Raritan 30 years ago. Mr. Stocker served an enlistment with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Philip was a Locomotive Engineer for N.J. Transit (formerly CNJ) for 46 years before retiring on February 16, 2001. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 1965 of Raritan. Philip was an avid Chess and card player who also enjoyed wood working, gardening, camping and telling stories about the Railroad and U.S. Navy. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 30 years Margaret "Peggy" Stocker of Raritan, his sons Philip L. Stocker Jr. and daughter-in-law Bonnie of Piscataway and John D. Stocker and daughter-in-law Louanne of Tinton Falls, his daughter Robin Wilson and son-in-Iaw'Steven orE. Stroudsburg, P.A., stepsons Benjamin W. Blew and Eva of Franklin and August R. Blew and Evelyn of High Brigde, grandchildren, Jamie Leigh Scarpa, Kaitlyn Wilson, Steven Blew, Monica Blew, Kevin Blew, Danille Weber an Eric Weber, Brothers Robert and Fran Stocker of Brick and James Stocker of Morristown, sister Ruth Douglas of Reno, Nevada and several nieces an nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Highway 202 south, Branchburg, N.J. Committal will be private.
