Pauline Mackiewicz, 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Born in the house her father built in Somerville, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Branchburg for most of her life, moving to Bridgewater five years ago.
Pauline was a graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1943.
Pauline worked as a mechanical draftsman for D.R. Kenyon in North Branch, NJ for 20 years before her retirement in 1990.
She was an active communicant of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Bridgewater.
Open minded and interested in whatever the world had to offer, Pauline was still participating in chair yoga, and enjoyed reading family saga novels. She was known for baking amazing apple pie and lasagna, and loved working crossword puzzles. She treasured time with family members, many who gathered to celebrate her 90th birthday. Pauline also took a memorable trip to Italy with her family.
Pauline is preceded in death by her beloved parents Giovanna and Giovanni Colanduoni; her beloved husband of 60 years, Stanley (2009); five brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are her dear son, Paul of Middlesex, NJ; her loving daughter, Margaret and husband James Tennison of Ruckersville, VA; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 7-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home at 9:15am on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Bridgewater.
Entombment will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery Mausoleum.
