Paul W. Schnappauf Neshanic Station, NJ Paul Schnappauf, 60, of Neshanic Station, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at RWJH-Somerset. Born in Manhattan, NY and raised in Stony Brook, NY, he resided in Bridgewater, NJ for 10 years before moving to his beloved home in Neshanic Station where he would spend 21 great years. Paul graduated from Ward-Melville High School in 1978. After graduating high school, he went on to complete his bachelor's degree in History as a member of the class of 1982 at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY where he met his life partner, Janice. Upon graduating college, he discovered his passion for Computer Science and furthered his education to complement his natural talent. With this, Paul dedicated 30 years working in Information Technology for New York Life. Though he was passionate about his career, there was nothing more important to him than his family and community. While the Giants, the Mets, and Manchester United were teams he loved to watch, Paul's favorite teams were his daughters' soccer, softball, and basketball teams, for which he acted as coach. He additionally served as Treasurer of the Branchburg Soccer Club for several years in support of his community. Paul's strong spirituality guided his active participation in the community of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, NJ, where he was a parishioner for 32 years. There he served as a collection counter and usher in support of the church and enjoyed attending services with his family. Some of Paul's greatest joys were swimming in the ocean with his girls, spending time with dear friends, cooking for his family, and playing ball with his beloved dogs, Mattie and Mika. Paul enjoyed planning vacations and traveling with his wife, Janice. Paul loved any challenge of taking on projects in his home. He instilled this enthusiasm for independence and problem solving in his family, along with his motto of getting "every last drop" of use. He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Leonard Schnappauf. Surviving are his mother, Joan Lang, his loving wife Janice Hallit Schnappauf of 33 years, his two dear daughters, Kirsten and Erin Schnappauf of Neshanic Station; one sister Mary and husband Michael Sherlock of Camden, DE; three godchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Branchburg Funeral Home from 5-8pm. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, NJ.
