Paul Podesla
, 60, died Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the V.A. N.J. Health Care Systems in East Orange, N.J.
Born in Plainfield, he formerly resided in Scotch Plains before moving to Branchburg 35 years ago.
Paul graduated from Seton Hall University in 1967 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
He served an enlistment in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He attained the rank of Lieutenant and was in charge of the operation of a military police stockade in Heidelberg, Germany for two years.
He was the former co-owner and operator of Hughes & Podesla Personnel Associates, Inc. of Somerville for 25 years.
He was a former member of the Branchburg Rescue Squad for 10 years and is a member of the Somerville B.P.O.E, Lodge #1068.
Paul was an avid fisherman and golfer and enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore with his family. His cherished his granddaughter Jillian Traetta.
Surviving are his loving daughter, Christine Traetta and son-in-law Robert of High Bridge, his loving son, Paul J. of Branchburg, his cherished granddaughter, Jillian Traetta and his dear sister, Sister Helen Paul of Yonkers, NY.
